Canonically as we know, Ajax was tormented as a child by others in his home village of Morepesok until the age of fourteen when he'd fallen into the Abyss and was changed by his time there.This account will focus heavily on the impact his upbringing and subsequent change in the Abyss has on him as a person. As such I will be taking a few creative liberties with what we know of his history to explore him on a deeper level beyond his usual carefree, humorous, battle loving persona.

Some general things to keep in mind when interacting with my Ajax.↠ His real name is Ajax, but unless he has given you explicit permission to use his real name in a thread, do not call him Ajax. Use of his real name causes him feelings of distress because it comes with a lot of memories and baggage and outside of his family, it's only the people he trusts most that have the privilege of knowing "Ajax" and not just "Childe".↠ He canonically has a stutter he works very hard to mask, but he occasionally has "episodes" where it comes out. This causes him a lot of mental grief because his stutter is part of the reason he was tormented as a child after he'd been forcibly held down with a poisonous snail in his mouth and it triggers a lot of those old feelings of helplessness and fear. The stutter usually comes out when he's exhausted, stressed out and/or already struggling and pointing it out makes him aggressive and may potentially have him lash out as a result.↠ He uses humour to cope with things that upset, bother or stress him out and often times this might turn into him degrading or belittling himself.↠ He is a little mentally unstable and unpredictable because of his time in the Abyss and as such, there are times he can be violent with seemingly little to no provocation whatsoever. This isn't to say he doesn't have some measure of control over himself but it can make him appear more hostile or rough with people when he has a lot of pent up energy or needs to get all that need for the bloodshed out of his system. This alone is the reason he seems to enjoy fighting so much.↠ He is by no means an unintelligent man as Ajax needs to have a certain level of intelligence in order to do the things he does with the Fatui and on the field of battle, however, he can be a little more gullible than others. He tries to see the best in everything because he lived a rather miserable life before the Abyss and as such, it's easier for people to take advantage of him as a result.↠ Though he loves his family more than anything, he struggles maintaining a relationship with them outside of Teucer. He used to be the favourite of his father before he fell into the Abyss, and after he returned changed by it, his family started treating him differently out of fear of him. His father giving him to the Fatui because they couldn't handle what he'd become is something that stuck with Ajax and is part of what makes him reluctant to show people who he was before he became "Tartaglia" for fear that "Ajax" is simply too much for anyone to handle.↠ He is naturally flirtatious and charismatic these days and often times is tasked with using himself and his body to get a job done for the Fatui. Sex is simply another tool in his arsenal to him and he certainly knows how to use it, but he doesn't necessarily enjoy it. It's easy enough to put on an act to pretend as though he does to get the job done.↠ Ajax has canonically taken up acting roles. He does this along with singing as a form of speech therapy to help him with his stutter.↠ He does not really have a lot of freckles, if any at all, despite being a ginger. While it is possible to develop them in colder climates, given that characters with freckles actually have them visible in game, I am of the opinion Ajax does not really have any and if he does, they are likely very, VERY faint and only visible up close.
